New York Knicks may go for Brandon Jennings of Detroit Pistons
A report by The New York Post cited the team having a heavy font line up but lacking an efficient player to bring down the ball and orchestrate the team’s play inside the court which is a match to Jennings’s arsenal. “I just think that people assume that with Reggie (Jackson) here and the way Brandon played a year ago, I think people just make that assumption”. This is a good number for a point guard whose main job inside the court is to create opportunities for his teammates.

Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings told reporters today that he is open to a rehab stint with NBA Development League affiliate Grand Rapids. Jackson is averaging 19.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, as he is clearly the starting point guard of the future for the Pistons. Jennings is in the final year of his contract with the Pistons, which should keep the asking price reasonable for the Knicks. They also aim to have two other guards on the roster, Steve Blake and Spencer Dinwiddie. He averaged 7.6 assists per game in 2013-14 and 6.6 assists in 2014-15, which were both higher than any marks he set in his prior four years with the Milwaukee Bucks.
“My main thing when I come back is to help this team get to the playoffs because that’s our main goal”. Trading the pact of Calderon, a former Piston, for Jennings straight-up wouldn’t do the trick but adding Grant or a big man to a package could be more enticing.
Players who will become available are Kristaps Porzingis, Jerian Grant, Derrick Williams, Robin Lopez, Kyle O’Quinn, Kevin Seraphin, Sasha Vujacic, Arron Afflalo, Lance Thomas, and Lou Amundson.

“There is a sense that Jennings will be moved at some point, especially if he can return some frontcourt depth for Detroit; however there is also a sense that Detroit isn’t in any hurry to make a change either”, he furthered.
