New York police arrest man trying to climb Trump Tower

On Monday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton delivered a speech in Kissimmee, FL, in which she paid tribute to the victims of the June mass shooting at Pulse, a gay nightclub in nearby Orlando, and detailed her economic message. Mateen is recognizable, in part, because he did so many interviews after the nightclub attack. “This individual wasn’t invited as a guest and the campaign was unaware of his attendance until after the event”, the campaign said in a statement.

Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton should have been forced to deal with campaign messes on Tuesday, but the three networks only treated the Republican’s problem as a huge gaffe worthy of extensive coverage.

Leinonen told WESH 2 News that even if Mateen favors Clinton and her promise of tougher gun control laws, his appearance there was grossly insensitive.

Trump’s campaign has not commented on the climber but Trump Organization EVP Michael Cohen said in a statement: “This man performed a ridiculous and risky stunt”. What attracts a terrorist, which is what he is, this guy was on radio saying awful anti- American things, supports the Taliban, this is a guy who said God should punish homosexuals.

“We rely on metal detectors for safety and the Secret Service”, Sherman said. He didn’t indicate whether the Clinton campaign was aware of his attendance, saying “Why should they be surprised?”

But, Governor Mike Pence of IN, the running mate of Donald Trump accused the media of ignoring Mr Mateen’s appearance at the event.

The “NBC Nightly News” did not report the Mateen story at all, according to the center, while the “Today” show gave only 32 seconds to the story on Wednesday.

“I did talk to my crew and let them know, listen, he’s at a level where I am able to grab him safely and bring him in”, Williams said.

Mateen told WPTV that he is a member of the Democratic Party and that he received a general invitation to the event sent out to all party members in the area.

He called Clinton “good for [the] United States versus Donald Trump”.

Asked about his decision to attend the event, he added: “I spoke a lot about that and wish that my son joined the Army and fought Isis. That would be much better”.
