The details of the contract weren’t made public yet, but we know this much: Stoll will be apart of the Blueshirts this year. The 33-year-old eventually saw the charges reduced to a pair of misdemeanors, paving the way to this deal with the Rangers.

Ryan Malone was arrested in 2014 for DUI and cocaine possession, the Tampa Bay Lightning immediately putting him on waivers using the compliance buyout.
Stoll has played in 792 career National Hockey League games over parts of 12 seasons with the Edmonton Oilers and Kings, registering 140 goals and 239 assists for 379 points, along with a plus-3 rating and 582 penalty minutes. The felony cocaine charge filed against Stoll was dismissed in a plea deal with prosecutors.
Stoll was sentenced to 32 hours of community service.
Jarret Stoll’s tumultuous off-season has finally taken a turn in the right direction. Stoll was the eighth most physical King with a recorded 167 hits, higher than star defenseman, Drew Doughty’s 152.
Stoll had just six goals and 17 points in 73 games with the Kings last season, but he won 55.4 percent of his faceoffs, a weakness of the Rangers for some time. New York is also 19/4 to win the Eastern Conference.
If it works out for both sides, the Rangers will have extra depth at center and Stoll will prove worthy of his second chance.

Stoll’s contract with the Rangers is reportedly for $800,000, far below the $3.25-million cap hit he carried in each of the previous three seasons.
