Newcastle United Contact Liverpool For Jose Enrique
Jose Enrique’s proposed deadline day move to Newcastle United fell through after the player failed to agree personal terms.

Enrique has struggled to secure game time over the past two years, with the arrival of Jurgen Klopp doing little to improve his chances of a first-team role.
Jose Enrique missed out on a return to former club Newcastle on deadline day.
His last contribution came in Saturday’s 0-0 fourth-round draw at home to West Ham United, sending a free-kick straight into the wall to kick off a Hammers counter after being brought on in the closing stages.
But he earns around £65,000 per week and Newcastle wouldn’t be prepared to match that figure.
One Magpies fan is putting a couple of tracks on the jukebox and is pleased Enrique will not be arriving at St. James’ Park, with the supporter doubtful as to whether Enrique can maintain consistent enough form to play regular Premier League football.
He was in a similar position during the summer window but, at the last moment, Enrique rejected an offer from West Brom.
Enrique’s only appearances this season have been in the FA Cup.
It has been suggested that Newcastle are willing to take him back to Tyneside and have approached the Reds to reach an agreement over a deal that will see the Spaniard leave Anfield.
