The Post reports that the Clinton campaign has more names on the list and that the list is not expected to narrow until closer to the Democratic National Convention in July.

‘Clinton is going to face a divided government unless there is a total tsunami, ‘ the Democrat said. Together, both men discussed their support for the former Secretary of State candidate and Secretary Castro debunked claims about running for vice president.

‘When you get paid $225,000, that means that that speech must have been an extraordinarily wonderful speech, ‘ Sanders joked during a debate in March.

However, many Democrats were looking forward to hearing the Castro brothers’ input in the party.

Garry Mauro, Clinton’s longtime friend and Texas campaign manager says her choice will ultimately come down to chemistry.

Another frequent surrogate is Labor Secretary Tom Perez, also on many speculative shortlists.

This year, the Texas Democratic Convention was in full swing at the Alamodome for the first time in 50 years with the spotlight on Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julián Castro.

Kaine is the former Governor of Virginia, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and a former attorney who graduated from Harvard Law School.

A constant theme that emerged in the interviews is that executives in the financial industry believe the first 100 days of a Clinton administration could feature potential deal making with Republicans, who are likely to maintain their majority in the House of Representatives.

In a poll last week conducted by Selzer & Co for Bloomberg Politics, just 5 per cent of Clinton supporters said Mr Kaine would be the best possible pick. Six percent suggested Brown, 12 percent said Castro, 17 percent said Booker and 35 percent said Warren. The state would then hold a special election for a permanent replacement. “It wouldn’t be good for the body” to lose him.
