The tweet of the Daily News front page, which hits newsstands in print form this morning, is already the most retweeted of 2015 for the paper.
Four pull quotes from the Republican political leaders are plastered on the publication’s front page in eerily similar, arguably meaningless glory.
Attendees at a Donald Trump rally in Manassas, Va., take part in a prayer and moment of silence after the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings.
“But after yet another mass shooting in America, GOP presidential contenders were conspicuously silent on the issue of gun control.”
Daily News critics accuse the newspaper of “prayer-shaming” religious politicians.
He said “we know we’ve degraded our intelligence capability”, blaming President Barack Obama and members of Congress, including Republicans, for scaling back metadata gathering.
Praying for the victims, their families & the San Bernardino first responders in the wake of this tragic shooting.
Right-wing politicians always offer prayers after these tragedies. “But likely 88 other people died today from gun violence in the United States”, Everytown for Gun Safety’s Ted Alcorn told the New York Times. “If you want change, advocate for change”.
He said the cover is an example of the “relentlessness of the liberal agenda”, and that agenda “is displayed by that cover”. CNN, the same people who air legal analysts who wonder about murder being caused by offensive “holiday parties”, couldn’t see why that nasty front page might be revolting, and promoted it every hour on the hour. Gun control advocates in media and politics have again called for stricter laws after this latest incident.
The prospect of violence from Muslims – and the ensuing debate about xenophobia – has been widely discussed following the Paris terror attacks, although the motive in the San Bernardino shootings remains unknown.

Now the NY Daily News is criticizing Wayne LaPierre for refusing to comment on the San Bernardino shooting – he hasn’t even reached out to offer his thoughts and prayers to the victims.
