Newt Gingrich VP speculation roars back as Fox News suspends contract

Gingrich – a potential running mate for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump – said that every time black Americans walk up to a vehicle or go into a building where there is a robbery they run the risk of being killed by police.

To pay off the debt, Gingrich founded the Committee for America, a joint fundraising group that raised only $27,545 in two years since he began it in 2013, according to Politico. He appeared at a Trump rally on Wednesday and confirmed that he is being vetted.

The cable news channel is suspending its ties with Newt Gingrich since Gingrich is on Donald Trump’s vice presidential short list. Due to this interest, FOX News and the former speaker of the House have parted ways at least for the time being. Gingrich, after all, has been in the middle of VP speculation for weeks.

“It’s a little bit like ‘The Apprentice.’ You find out sooner or later who is the last one standing”, Gingrich said.

It seems unlikely that Gingrich or the Trump campaign would tip off Fox executives to the pick – and then greenlight a public announcement about the suspension of the contract.

“We all love Newt”.

He went on to say citizens of the United States needed to rethink the idea of being American and how to function as an extended family. While overseeing a fraud lawsuit, Trump said Curiel was “a member of a club or society very strongly pro-Mexican” and thus can’t be impartial to him because of his border comments.

‘I’m not saying anything, and I’m not telling even Newt anything, ‘ Trump said, ‘but I can tell you in one form or another, Newt Gingrich is going to be involved with our government.

Fox has a history of erring on the side of caution and distancing itself from on-air commentators who might become political power players in their own right. Gingrich was suspended from FOX in 2011 when he was considering running for president, as was Rick Santorum.

Gingrich also could help smooth Trump’s relationship with Congress, which is off to a rocky start after a tense Capitol Hill meeting last week.
