Newt Gingrich: ‘Who cares’ if Melania Trump plagiarized Michelle Obama

New York’s delegation at the Republican National Convention heard from former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, an official Donald Trump surrogate, at their breakfast meeting Monday.

“He would send a couple tweets before he got out of bed”, Gingrich said. He’s in town to support Donald Trump and to promote his documentary film, The First American. “His policy would be mutually beneficial to us”, Gingrich said, trying to imply that Trump is only against Muslim immigrants who could indulge in lone-wolf terrorism.

Gingrich’s second and final point was that both of them were extremely self-confident people.

“I think it’ll be sad”, Gingrich said.

“Who cares? Who cares?” He is working very hard to have less bureaucracy, less red tape…he gets the system of free enterprise and create wealth.

To applause, Gingrich said he’s more of a “guard dog” and believes the wolves need to be killed.

“Here you have the world’s largest democracy and the world’s most powerful democracy coming together in a way that is very very important and vital to the future of Asia and to the world”, he said.

Gingrich told the audience that Cruz was pro-Trump and that they “misunderstood one paragraph” of his address, where Cruz said they should vote according to their conscience for the candidate who will “uphold the Constitution”.

RHC is headed by Chicago-based Shalabh “Shalli” Kumar.

Later, acknowledging Modi and Trump were two different people – one was a career politician and the other a career businessman – Gingrich doubled down on them being “natural partners”.

Defending the stance taken by Trump on immigration, Gingrich stated that Trump is serious about terrorism, similar to Indian Prime Minister Modi. “There is a lot of talent in Indian Americans”, he said.
