Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton says just because he’s preparing for the Super Bowl and all the hype that comes with it, he won’t change who he is.

Even non-football watchers know Newton thanks to his role as pitchman for products ranging from headphones to Gatorade and yogurt.
Never mind that Newton’s foundation helped feed 900 kids during Thanksgiving. He insists that Newton the person remains the same.
“I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing they can compare me to”.
“It’s tough, because people are going to hate you regardless”. “If it is at all possible I know they are going to get me back”, he added.
The quarterback says “people are going to judge, and have opinions on things I don’t have control over”. “I think you should be able to come out and have fun”.
