Carolina Panthers: The Panthers are mostly healthy heading into the final stretch of the season, with just Charles Tillman (knee) and Brenton Bersin (groin) expected to miss out on Sunday. Offensively, this is the game where the Falcons’ receiving options not named Julio Jones must step up. The Falcons had an opportunity for a quick two minute drill to win the game, but a Matt Ryan interception sealed the deal in their 24-16 loss.

The Atlanta Falcons are having some issues.
Carolina has shown their ability to consistently end drives in the end zone. Their running game has been suspect and Devonta Freeman has been doing the majority of his work as a check down specialist.
Problem is, the Panthers allow just 87.2 rushing yards per game and have a stout defensive line that may control the line of scrimmage. “… He doesn’t back down, he comes every play and he has very, very good technique”.
Matt Ryan, meanwhile, has thrown 13 interceptions, the second most in the NFL. Against the Panthers, however, one must give the enterprise a little more thought. That one looked bad, and if I were to guess I’d say the Panthers will need to put some serious consideration into bringing another cornerback in for the playoffs.

Even if the Falcons lose, they’re still in the hunt for the Wild Card, although it’s getting away from them as we speak.
