Next book of ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ due in 2016

Martin is due to give a cameo in the zombie television series Z Nation as an undead writer. The upside is that they have absolutely no idea that they were right, and George R.R. Martin isn’t giving anything away.

Martin tells of his cameo. Last month, in his live journal Not a Blog, he wrote: “And while I will be travelling, my army of minions will be here at the old homestead, toiling in the paper mines”, which triggers fans to believe that the book is already in publication.

As far as “The Winds of Winter” is concerned, Martin has not mentioned any specific release date. That’s just the type of plot that will fit perfectly in the bizzaro apocalpyse of Z Nation.

‘But it will also be during the next year for sure, won’t it?’ It’s meant as an introduction to the books for those who’ve only seen the series. Some fans are wondering if this move is another procrastination tactic to delay finishing the latest book in his A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Winds of Winter.

The next of George RR Martin’s A Game of Thrones book series is set to be released next year on April 3, 2016.

As most fans know, “Thrones” is rapidly catching up to the all the plot lines from Martin’s previously-published books, and will soon start airing stories from the two remaining tomes that have yet to be finished (“Winter” and “A Dream of Spring“).

A lot of exciting things are in store for “Game of Thrones” season 6, especially after the show chose to kill off certain key characters, such as Jon Snow and Stannis Baratheon. His fifth book, “A Dance of Dragons”, came out in 2011. So I think there will be, as there always is, many surprises in book six.
