Next Gear VR coming soon with ‘surprise’ price point — Samsung
The Edge, which was released last April, has a 5.1-inch screen. However, another device, specifically the LG G4, is set to challenge the Samsung device.

The Galaxy Note 5 also includes a bit of a throwback: a Blackberry-esque physical keyboard cover that can be snapped onto the phone and sensed by the screen underneath. Here are some quick thoughts on today’s new devices. When Samsung’s keyboard is attached the phone recognizes it and shifts the contents of the display accordingly. The curved edges on the Galaxy S6 edge are made even bigger in this + version, and it totally works.
The company also touted its built-in wireless charging capability, meaning that the phones can charge without cords when placed on a charging platform, which is sold separately.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note5 both sport 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED displays. The Note’s signature “S Pen” stylus got some upgrades. Here’s hoping they decide to bring this app-launch ability to their smaller S6 edge. Select U.S. users of Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note5 will be able to participate in a beta trial from August 25 ahead of the September 28 launch. This is a really useful addition and hopefully Samsung will find more features to add to the edges with future updates.
When Samsung unveiled their first Galaxy Note phablet, no one quite knew how to receive this new genre in handhelds.
To please the shutterbugs, Samsung has thrown-in a 16 megapixel camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). Both phones boost huge 14.5 centimeter (5.7 inch) screens, which are measured diagonally – a little big larger than Apple’s pocket-bursting iPhone 6 Plus.
Samsung announced the newest member of its Note family weeks earlier than it normally does and also announced the S6 Edge+, a larger-screen variant to the S6 Edge, which features a dual-edge screen that users can access content on apart from the main front-facing screen.
The new Note has an improved S Pen, its stylus that slides into a slot right in the phone. The two devices come with a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
It is compatible with all of the Galaxy S6 smartphones and the Galaxy Note.
