Google is rolling out the new “Find your phone” feature on My Account, giving Android users more options to locate their lost or stolen handsets.

This Find and Lock the device feature is not available for the iPhone users earlier, and the iPhone users have to navigate to the iCloud website, and they have to utilise the services in the Apple’s iCloud site.

If you have a lost phone emergency before the search update, though, you can access these options right away using Google’s new “Find your phone” page.

“My Account” puts privacy and security tools in one place, including long-standing features like Ads Settings, and newer ones like the Privacy and Security Checkups. This feature will be available both for Android and iOS devices. Google says that efforts to keep people secure and safe are ongoing and that My Account will continue to be updated based on user feedback.

Pichai also says there’ll be more software innovations beyond stock Android traditionally installed on Nexus devices. Google said 1 billion people have used the tool since the hub was unveiled a year ago. When ringing an Android phone, we had to disable WiFi calling to get that function to work, but it located it easily. This works today in English, and support for other languages is coming soon.

The “Find your phone” feature has been added to the My Account page for your Google account.

Here is a good news for iPhone or Android users!

You have two options in order to access the Find Your Phone feature.

What Google didn’t mention in the announcement were the specifics of the data it stores, and which can be accessed – and deleted – via “My Account”.
