Brazil and Barcelona star Neymar will soon be sporting a boot endorsed by Michael Jordan. With all of the rumors pointing at 2016 holiday release, the Jordan Brand has officially confirmed the release date for this popular sneaker. The “Jumpman” logo, the Brazilian flag, and the initials of Neymar’s son, will also be displayed. “Neymar Jr. grew up a fan of the man and the brand, while Jordan appreciates Neymar Jr.’s style on and off the pitch”.
“Michael Jordan and Neymar Jr. share a mutual respect that transcends sports, countries, and languages”, Nike.com says.
Neymar is the first footballer to present the “Jumpman” on his football merchandise.
Neymar told the Nike designers that he had the biggest connection to the Jordan V, so they worked to blend those design components into the soccer cleat.
