[Real Madrid] haven’t contacted us.
According to ESPN Brasil, the attacker signed on the dotted line in December, but Barcelona have not yet officially announced the new contract due to the ongoing legal dispute regarding Neymar’s tax issues in Spain and Brazil. Sky Sports quoted Neymar Sr.in November when he hinted to Cadena Ser the trial could force his son to leave with £31.3 million of his assets still frozen. This is speculation, we have been living with this since Neymar was 16. Well, Neymar will reportedly be earning himself somewhere in the area of $220,000 and $275,000 per week, which makes him the second highest paid player on the squad next to – you guessed it, Messi.
Barcelona might be the biggest club in the world, but that doesn’t stop other clubs trying to poach the best players, with Manchester United and Manchester City both linked recently.
“[On Neymar playing at Copa America and the Olympics], Neymar wants to play in every game, but we’ll wait for Dunga to come to Barcelona”. We’ll talk with Bartomeu in May and draw up the road which Neymar and Barca can take together.
