NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys take Ezekiel Elliott at No. 4
The Cowboys chose Elliott over Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey, who was considered one of the best overall players in the draft.

The 6-foot, 225-pound Elliott, who rushed for 1,821 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior, possesses notable quickness, vision and toughness.
Running back wasn’t the biggest need going into the draft with Darren McFadden coming off a strong season and the Cowboys adding two-time Pro Bowler Alfred Morris from Washington in free agency. Well, Zeke done changed the game when he showed up for the 2016 NFL Draft in a nice suit that showed off his killer six-pack. Dallas will be needing him to come through with a big season to take pressure off of Romo.
Winning: In his three years at Ohio State the Buckeyes compiled a 38-4 record.
Elliott declared his intention to enter the draft after Ohio State’s loss to Michigan State last November. Elliott was the right pick for the Cowboys, however, and will become a superstar with his new team. Despite a lengthy injury history, McFadden stayed healthy throughout the season. The Cowboys eventually released Randle.
Per the report, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants to draft Elliott with the fourth pick even though this year’s draft class is full of talented running backs that can be found in any round, and taking any running back in the Top 10 is something of a reach. Ramsey went fifth to Jacksonville.

M-V-P: After rushing for 246 yards against OR in the 2014 BCS Championship Game, Elliott was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. He joins a Cowboys team that missed star rusher DeMarco Murray after he left town for the Eagles before last season, and hopes to replace that ground game with Elliott’s.
