NFL Draft: What grade are you giving Jaguars pick Myles Jack?

“It’s been long, a little bit embarrassing”, Jack said on a conference call of the draft process. The UCLA linebacker, whom many consider the most talented player available in the draft, faced numerous questions about his right knee during scouting season and was aware that teams were anxious that he would possibly need major knee surgery down the line.

Jack admitted on Thursday before the draft that he would understand if he fell, but according to his agent, he was still disappointed to not be a first-round pick. If concerns about his knee are real, he could plummet, if not, he’ll be off the board quickly. It was a gamble, and, Jack told Business Insider, a lonely seven-month stretch in which he focused all his time and attention on rehabbing his knee. “He’s got some long-term issues and he also has some concerns about whether another procedure will be needed in a year or two”.

Jack says he pegged Jacksonville as his first round destination and was happy to be selected by the team, even if it came a bit later. I think if the Broncos wanted Jack, their chance to get him was Thursday night, and they chose Paxton Lynch. “I’m nowhere near that, so it’s nothing to talk about”.

The lack of contact might not be an accurate predictor of the Giants’ interest, however. Holmes was the No. 181 selection of the draft, the sixth selection of the sixth round.

His knee condition, called “chondral defect”, means that bone and cartilage could potentially break away from the knee.

For example, SB Nation projects Jack to go at #38 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 7th pick in round 2.

As far as I’ve seen, this is the first mock draft that has the Lions selecting the high-profile linebacker, so I haven’t really even considered this possibility.

“It’s not what everybody’s making it out to be”, he said. He said it’s probably been there before you had (the surgery).

“It’s all motivation and I actually appreciate it. It’s made me hungry”. ESPN’s Jon Gruden said he believes Cook will grow into the best quarterback in this draft.
