NFL NOTEBOOK: Brady plays in preseason finale
Either way, this could be seen as a form of protest towards Roger Goodell in light of Brady’s upcoming four-game suspension.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback and future Hall of Famer was reminded by Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. about how he failed to deliver what they agreed upon when they were together inside MetLife Stadium last November.
The New England Patriots are coming from a 17-9 loss to the New York Giants in the final week of the preseason.
Brady completed 16 of 26 passes for 166 yards, a touchdown and an interception as New England took a 6-3 halftime lead.
Not surprisingly, the National Football League is not commenting at this time about Brady’s helmet. So, for the first time since Brady tore up his knee in 2008, the Patriots are living in a post-Brady world.
But under the rules of the suspension, Brady was still allowed to participate in the team’s four pre-season games. Under the ruling, Brady will miss the Patriots’ upcoming games against the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills. Saturday’s home opener against St. Augustine’s will be streamed on ncataggies.com, as will the October 29 game against Florida A&M and the November 5 contest vs. S.C. State. That means Jimmy Garoppolo will serve as the team’s starting quarterback for the first four games of the season.
Despite his suspension, Brady is feeling optimistic about the next few weeks.

Here’s a photo of what the back of Brady’s helmet used to look like. I think New England is going to learn this with a solid but at times hard start to 2016.
