Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz found out that instead of sitting on the bench for the season, he was going to be given the keys to the offense, and be the team’s starting signal caller THIS season.

He’ll be in the weeds Sunday.
By moving down from No. 2, the Browns effectively passed on Carson Wentz, the second pick in the draft by the Eagles.
Monday’s brief practice at the NovaCare Complex marked the first occasion he’s ever worked out with the starting offense.
In addition, Wentz missed the Eagles’ last three preseason games after fracturing two ribs.
Wentz injured his ribs in his National Football League debut and missed the final three preseason games. “Without a doubt I’ll be excited”, Wentz said.
Pederson doesn’t think Wentz will have any extra motivation playing the team that didn’t want him. The Browns were thrilled that the Eagles did think Wentz was the right fit, because the Eagles sent the Browns two first-round picks, a second-round pick and a third-round pick in the trade that allowed the Eagles to select Wentz with the Browns’ first-round pick, No. 2 overall.
