The third-round selection will get the nod against the Texans (2-0) four days after filling in for Jimmy Garoppolo, who sustained a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder during the Patriots’ 31-24 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Dr. Roto looks at the Fantasy assets in Thursday Night Football’s matchup between the Houston Texans and New England Patriots.

On Thursday night, a team likely down to its third-string quarterback, a rookie no less, takes on a club that in the offseason signed its new QB to a sweet $72 million, four-year contract.

Jacoby Brissett had a 27-yard touchdown run in his first National Football League start, LeGarrette Blount added scoring runs of 1 and 41 yards, and the Patriots beat the Houston Texans 27-0 on Thursday night.

It was only 10-0 at halftime, but the Texans didn’t cross the 50-yard line until the final 90 seconds of the third quarter.

The Houston Texans (2-0) are looking to stay undefeated after they outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs, 19-12, last week in which quarterback Brock Osweiler threw for 268 yards and a touchdown but with two interceptions in 19-for-33 passes. Brady’s absence has yet to be felt by the Patriots, who’ve begun the season 2-0 with Jimmy Garropolo starting both games under center.

Maybe Texans coach Bill O’Brien’s familiarity with the Patriots’ system after having coached there for five seasons, two of which ended in Super Bowl defeats, will help.

I’m being told Jacoby Brissett will start at QB for #Patriots tonight.

The victory for Patriots coach Bill Belichick was the 226th of his career, tying him with former Green Bay Packers coach Earl “Curly” Lambeau for fourth place on the all-time wins list.

New England didn’t need to rely on the passing game much, though. Brissett had a strong senior season at NC State that led him to getting drafted, and Young graduated and made a decision to focus her career on urban ministry.

Rob Gronkowski suited up and took the field at Gillette, but the tight end played very few snaps in the first half.

The big pass-catching tight end missed the first two games of the season due to a nagging hamstring injury endured during training camp. Duron Harmon recovered for the Patriots, but James ruled down on the field. “I wouldn’t really want anything to deflect the credit that they deserve for what they accomplished tonight”.
