Azteca Stadium now seats 95,000 after its 2013 renovation, so the attendance likely won’t match that of the Cardinals-Niners game in 2005 or a 1994 preseason game between the Houston Oilers and Dallas Cowboys, which drew 112,246.

The owners voted to allow the St. Louis Rams to move to a new stadium just outside Los Angeles, and the San Diego Chargers will have an option to share the facility.
A matchup between the Texans and Raiders would also be a matchup of two of the teams that showed the most improvement in the 2015 season.
Appearing this week with his own network’s Rich Eisen, Goodell carefully walked that line when asked about owner Mark Davis meeting with Las Vegas businessmen. The Raiders and the National Football League aren’t happy with the stadium issues in Oakland, though the ESPN story didn’t say whether the team had volunteered to give up a home game to help the Texans increase their fan base south of the border.

A source told CSNCalifornia.com last week that the Raiders are negotiating a short-term lease to play 2016 at O.co Coliseum, though that deal isn’t official yet.
