Sunday is his chance to validate the Texans’ decision. No way will Patriots coach Bill Belichick, QB Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. let down in their home opener after a stirring victory at Arizona. In Miami, the big story is the brewing cross-town, intra-sport feud between Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich and Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills. That was the case week one against the Dolphins.
32 – Los Angeles Rams – Jeff Fisher was probably right when he said the Rams weren’t going 7-9 this year. That’s why I like Jacksonville’s high octane offense and revamped defense to defeat the Chargers this Sunday. Different quarterback. Same result.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins: I had Pittsburgh winning against the Redskins this past Monday, but they were bad especially on defense. They won’t be so fortunate this week. Jacksonville, anchored by Blake Bortles and receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, can make its arrival statement with a home win over the Super Bowl-contending Packers.
With Tony Romo out with a back injury, Dallas starts rookie Dak Prescott at quarterback. Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen will need to pull a rabbit (or Pro Bowl corner) out of his hat for the Saints to win this one.

49ers (+14) at Panthers: The Panthers will have had to wait 10 long days to kick off. Hide the women and children. Brandon Marshall will be definitively more productive going forward, and while Enunwa has a very real role on this team and should play the majority of snaps, weekly fantasy relevance isn’t a likely outcome. Break up the Bucs! Line still smells, even when granting that the Rams have played the Seahawks tough.

With Trevor Siemian as the starting quarterback, defending champions Broncos may have a limited offense, although their defense still looks great. The Northwestern University grad is smart.
