The 24-year-old wideout was arrested and charged with one count of felonious assault in July following a melee at a Virginia Beach, Virginia, bar. Prosecutors said the fight led to a man’s jaw being broken, although the victim said it wasn’t Hunter who landed the most serious blow.

Hunter’s attorney also said his client was being singled out because he’s an National Football League player.

During Hunter’s arraignment, prosecutors said that Hunter punched the victim inside the bar. The victim in the case doesn’t have health insurance and has expensive medical bills to pay as a result of the fight, and has hired a personal injury attorney with the intent of suing Hunter.

During the trial, testimony lasted about four hours and half a dozen witnesses were interviewed.

Hunter spoke to 13News Now outside the court house as he walked out of the courtroom hugging family and friends.

The judge did not comment on his ruling, he just simply stated that Hunter was not guilty. You know all of that, he say she say.
