NFL swears Peyton Manning not its most famous drug cheat

The league made the announcement Monday.

“The Manning’s were fully cooperative with the investigation and provided both interviews and access to all records sought by the investigators”, the National Football League said.

Manning has decided not to sue Al Jazeera for its false allegations.

The NFL Players Association released a statement this morning noting that Manning is no longer a member of the union and therefore isn’t part of the union’s effort to fight the NFL over this investigation.

He was consistently asked, including during Super Bowl week, in the Broncos’ postseason run if he had used HGH or other banned performance-enhancing substances.

The NFL also reviewed medical records and determined there wasn’t any evidence that any violation had occurred.

An NFL statement said investigators had spent seven months probing allegations aired in a documentary by Al-Jazeera America in December which alleged human growth hormone had been mailed to Manning’s household in 2011. “It’s completely fabricated, completed trash, garbage”.

“Insinuating anything otherwise is a complete and total joke, it’s defamation and it really ticks me off”.

The credibility for the Al-Jazeera report lacked a foundation to stand on, of course, when the key intern connected to details of the story backpedaled from his original story. Meanwhile, Sly – who was recorded by Collins without consent – later recanted his claims.

Manning helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers, 24-10, on February 7.
