NFL Upholds OBJ Suspension After Appeal
If Beckham’s suspension is upheld he will miss the Giants’ game in Minnesota on Sunday, and that will cost him 1/17th of his $893,009 salary.

Beckham tweeted out a statement on Wednesday right after news broke that his suspension was upheld.
The one-game suspension of New York Giants player Odell Beckham, Jr. was affirmed Wednesday, according to the NFL.
Beckham will be reinstated on Monday, Dec. 28. “I told him he can’t let stuff that people say get to you”, Irvin said. “I don’t have the ideal answer, but I think one thing they can say is how I handled myself the other day is an example of how not to conduct yourself”.
Panthers coach Ron Rivera was wired for sound and seen on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” telling Coughlin “I’m sorry about my guys’ behavior coach”, via Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report. People expect better from me, and I expect better from myself.
The NFL fined Norman a total of $26,044 for his role in the altercations with Beckham, which marred a game the Panthers won with a last-second field goal after blowing a 28-point, third-quarter lead.
Panthers safety Roman Harper said he doesn’t think any Panthers would have used such slurs, and he finds the idea that Beckham was intimidated by a baseball bat laughable.
The 23-year-old receiver was given a one-game suspension on Monday, with president of football operations Merton Hanks ruling that Beckham’s actions put his opponents at unnecessary risk of injury.
Odell Beckham said in a statement today, “I apologize for my actions on Sunday”.
The fight between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman resulted to a suspension to the former, something that everyone expected even before the National Football League made it official.
League spokesman Greg Aiello said in an email to The Associated Press that the NFL sent a memo all 32 teams reminding them that “no foreign objects unrelated to the uniform or playing equipment are permitted on the playing field and sidelines on game day (which includes the pre-game period, during the game, and postgame on the field)”.
NFL Media’s Rand Getlin reported Eifert will not play, but the Cincinnati Enquirer reported the Bengals have not ruled out the Pro Bowl tight end for the game at Denver. The two went at it all day in last Sunday’s game, and Beckham drew multiple flags.
Wing then said that Beckham and Ball began yelling at each other, with Beckham yelling, “Why you not playing?” repeatedly.
“It’s not fair, it’s not justice, it’s not the way it was”, Coughlin said. That was certainly the perception, in addition to verbal insults directed at Beckham the Giants believe, after reviewing the situation, included anti-gay slurs.

“There were factors involved starting in pregame, which are well documented, which indicate there was an attempt to provoke him”, Coughlin said.
