NFLer to fans: ‘Shut the f— up’

Hey, Boone, maybe they were just a little excited about getting to watch the Vikings in a stadium that wasn’t the freakin’ Metrodome.

Social media gave fans who weren’t able to snag tickets to the Vikings-Packers game a taste of what it was like during the tribute. “We could barely hear the snap count today a couple times – a couple false starts, because guys wouldn’t know when the snap was going”.

The Vikings entered the field through six cauldrons that shot bright orange flames toward the roof, quickly answering questions about whether the fancy digs could match that old, claustrophobic pillowcase when it comes to ear-splitting noise. And for once, the number of Packers fans in the stadium was less noticeable.

“Unbelievable, the best atmosphere the best environment I’ve ever played in”. “The crowd was incredible all night”.

Unfortunately for the Vikings though, Bagley was also wrong about one thing: there was no home-field advantage, at least according to Vikings offensive lineman Alex Boone. It’s not… I’m not saying it’s the fans fault, but I’m just saying that you know it would be nice if they just shut the f*** up a little bit.

CBS Minnesota reported that, after the performance, purple confetti fell on the crowd like … well, you know.

The tribute came courtesy of the Minnesota Orchestra, who were joined by members of Prince’s former band, New Power Generation, for a rendition of the musician’s classic “Purple Rain”.

“It exceeded my expectations”, Goodell said. And this is part of the Minnesota community. “It’s hard to communicate, but at the same time, you can’t use that as an excuse. The way they brought the tradition and the history of the team in, I think it’s really incredibly well done”.
