Schumer added: “Mr. Abbas and other Palestinian leaders must condemn these horrific acts and seek to work with Israel to reduce the violence and forge a path to coexistence, and the rest of the world must condemn these wanton terror attacks against Israel”.

There was another attack in Tel Aviv earlier Thursday; a Palestinian man stabbed three people in the city’s commercial district, killing two.

One of the dead was the American, identified as Ezra Schwartz in a tweet by Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.

Mr Schwartz, from Sharon, Massachusetts, graduated in 2015 from the Maimonides School in Brookline.

“The army will continue to take all legal steps available to it against the attackers and their accomplices in order to ensure security for the residents of the State of Israel”, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said after that raid.

Police said that in the first attack, a Palestinian from the West Bank stabbed Israelis at the entrance of a store that served as an informal synagogue in Tel Aviv, killing two Israeli men, aged 32 and 51, and wounding a third in the upper body. In the Tel Aviv area, there hadn’t been any attacks for the past two weeks.

Two others-one Israeli and one Palestinian (not the terrorist)-were killed in Thursday’s attack in Gush Etzion, and seven were lightly wounded. The volunteers also visited a memorial for three Israeli teenagers who were killed last summer.

He was killed yesterday afternoon when an assailant opened fire from a auto near a Jewish settlement block south of Jerusalem before crashing into pedestrians. We offer our deepest condolences to Ezra’s family, classmates and friends. “Both the Israeli and Palestinian authorities must ensure they take measures, in line with their obligations under global human rights law, to protect the right to life and to bring to justice in fair trials those responsible for such attacks”.

More than 80 Palestinians have died since the recent wave of violence began. Among the dead was a Palestinian man, but police said it was not clear if he was hit by the attacker’s fire or that of Israeli forces.

Also on Thursday, Israeli Maj.

Clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli security forces erupted after the funeral.
