Justin Bieber has congratulated the NHS Choir after they beat him to be Christmas Number One earlier today.

It was narrowly ahead of Bieber’s Love Yourself on combined sales and streams on Monday in the race for the top spot, with Stormzy’s Shut Up also making ground.
Bieber still claims three positions in the charts with Love Yourself at No 2, Sorry at No 3 and What Do You Mean at No 5.
Proceeds from the choir’s single will go to a number of charities including Carers UK and Mind.

Commenting on their success, the choir said, “it is a brilliant celebration for the NHS across the country, so well done and thank you everyone”.
That came after Bieber wrote on Twitter Wednesday: “So for 1 week it s ok not to be #1”.
His request was retweeted almost sixty thousand times and it seems like Beliebers agreed to help out because just hours later, the choir overtook Bieber’s single.
And the NHS Choir are absolutely thrilled with the news!
“Thank you SO very much to all our followers and supporters”. [NHS Choir, ] good luck…This is what it’s all about.
Their song is a mash-up of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel and Coldplay s “Fix You“.
‘There couldn’t be a more deserving group of winners’.
Adele, meanwhile, has scored the biggest-selling album of Christmas week for 2015.

Physiotherapist Caroline Harbord, 50, who is part of the choir, had previously said that securing a number one would help raise morale in the NHS.
