Niantic Working on New Projects that Will Be Similar to Pokemon GO
The information could come in handy if players wish to retrace their steps and share details with friends in the Pokemon GO community.

A “Catching Pokemon” option has been added to the Google Maps Timeline which can be used to indicate that the user was playing Pokemon Go exactly when and where.
As for the least efficient Pokemon, you probably won’t be surprised to see Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle, Zubat and Magikarp circling the drain at the bottom of the list, but somehow Drowzee managed to beat them all out as the absolute worst Buddy. While a Pokemon is designated to buddy duty, players won’t be able to use it for other tasks in the game. Players will receive some special reward and experience along with some extra sweets just by walking together. For example, walking with a Buddy Pokemon will award the player with additional Candy. The starter Pokemon often feels worthless since you won’t be seeing much of Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur.
As of now, there’s no official word on when the new feature will be out, but Niantic promises to release the update soon.
It’s not just a great feature because it’s cute to have a Pokemon alongside your trainer, it also makes sense mechanically.
According to Android Headlines, the new function is especially useful for: “tenacious Pokemon trainers that are constantly on the move, are often recording certain places where they’ve caught rare pocket monsters, especially when they’re suspecting they’ve stumbled upon a spawn point”. What a breathtaking Pokemon!” or “Its stats exceed my calculations.
