Nick Carter Brings ‘Backstreet’s Back’ to ‘Dancing With the Stars’

McLean assisted Carter and partner Sharna Burgess during rehearsal as they tackled a Jive to the Backstreet Boys 1997 tune “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” for the segment titled “My Favorite Year”. That’s the year when he first met BSB band members A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough. “Every single one of those guys raised me and taught me so much about values and family and relationships…They were there for me through thick and thin”. “I never could fix my family”. “The boys saved me – they loved and treated me like a true brother”. She even used to have posters of Nick Carter all over her walls growing up.
After the performance, Carter said of his “DWTS” experience, “I think it’s helping me grow as a human being – it’s about being strong in the moment and being able to overcome adversity”. Add to this the fact that the theme of the week is Dances Set to the Most Important Year of Your Life.
