Nick Gordon is found ‘legally responsible’ for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death
More than a year after the untimely death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, a judge has found her boyfriend, Nick Young, “legally responsible” for her death.

Gordon has never been criminally charged in Brown’s death and the outcome of the lawsuit is unlikely to affect the criminal case.
According to 11 Alive, Bedford made the ruling after Gordon failed to show up for Friday’s hearing.
“The only thing left to prove is the value of her life”, R. David Ware, an attorney for Brown’s estate, told reporters outside of the court on Friday.
Brown, the daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta townhouse on January 31, 2015. After being kept in a medicallyinduced coma for almost six months, she died at a nearby hospice on July 26, 2015 at the age of 22.
A medical examiner’s report released in March said a post-mortem examination showed that Ms Brown had morphine, cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs in her body. It further accused Gordon of giving her a “toxic cocktail” that rendered her unconscious and of leaving her face down in a tub of cold water.
“We have said all along that we believed Nick Gordon was responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. “We intend to do that”.
“As we have stated on numerous occasions and we will repeat again today, this case remains under active investigation by our office”, Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. said in a statement to BuzzFeed News. “Today’s judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon”.
Because Gordon failed to appear in court twice, Bedford said anything the plaintiff alleged is admissible through omission. “Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on God to get me and my family though this”. While it won’t bring their relative back, it is a relief that the court agrees with them about who is responsible for her death.
A jury trial will be set to determine how much Gordon should pay in damages.

The lawsuit sought £38 million ($50 million) in damages.
