Nick Grimshaw in vehicle accident after ‘swerving to avoid a cat’
Nick Grimshaw managed to avoid any injuries after being involved in a vehicle accident near his home in North London.

The Radio 1 DJ was driving his Mercedes on Monday (22 August) night, when he swerved to avoid hitting a cat, causing the auto to topple over completely.
‘No one was hurt and Nick will be doing his breakfast show as normal tomorrow morning’. “Going at 10mph he swerved to avoid a cat”. Everyone safe and well.
Speaking on his breakfast show, the former X Factor judge said that he crashed into another auto while trying to avoid the animal.
“I came out of my street, turned right, saw quite a large ginger cat”.
He missed his Radio 1 show as a result of the accident and left Annie Mac to explain to the listeners saying, “Nick unfortunately had a bit of an accident with his auto. He is fine, there is absolutely nothing to worry about but he can’t make it into the studio this evening”.
“It did it so slow-mo, I thought oh no, the car’s tipping over”.
Nick is working hard to develop a new show which he hopes will be a follow-up to “Top of the Pops” – the long-running chart show, which was axed in 2006 after over 40 years on screen – as he thinks the United Kingdom “needs” a mainstream pop series.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 18.47 to reports of an overturned auto on Clissold Crescent, at the junction with Burma Road in Hackney”.
Nick said that his friend reported the cat to police.
‘He is fine, ‘ she said. They need to have a word with it.’ I was like ‘with a cat?’

But he added: “It’s not really the cat’s fault”.
