Saban sad to see Miles go: Saban and former LSU head coach Les Miles have shared several memorable matchups on the field over the years.

LSU’s first game under Orgeron is Saturday in Tiger Stadium against Missouri.
“Coach Miles has done a tremendous job here and he’s been a great ambassador for our University, which makes this even more hard”, LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said in a written statement.
“It was beyond fighting”, he said.
Orgeron said he doesn’t expect much to change in his relationship with his staff even though he’ll go from being one of their peers to supervising them.
Houston coach Tom Herman told the Houston Chronicle on Sunday night that LSU has contacted neither he or his agent about the Tigers’ head coaching vacancy.
Miles thanked Alleva for the opportunity to address the Tigers at a team meeting Sunday. “I play no tennis. They have strengths that I don’t have, and we’re going to lean on each other and pull together”.
He called the LSU job “a blast” and said he does not feel sorry for himself. “He left the team first class and he walked out and said, ‘Ed, I support you.’ And we gave him a standing ovation, and we moved on”.
Not only does LSU need to present a unified front to both commits and targets alike, but it needs to quickly sort out its identity post-Miles.
