Nickelodeon to Launch ‘The Splat’ ’90s Programming Block on October. 5

The eight-hour TV block, which will air daily on TeenNick from 10 p.m.to 6 a.m., will also feature the original promos and interstitials aired in the ’90s, including the Doo-wop Dinosaurs and the Opera Lady.

The Splat will include ’90s Nickelodeon programs like Rugrats, Kenan & Kel, Ren & Stimpy, Clarissa Explains it All, Rocko’s Modern Life, Are You Afraid of the Dark? and many others. The TeenNick block of programming is expected to add more shows in the future, so if youre looking for Double Dare or The Adventures of Pete and Pete, there’s a chance theyll be there eventually. In 2011 it launched “The 90s Are All That“, a programming block brought about due to appeals via the Internet and social media platforms from young adults yearning to revisit the childhood fare they grew up with on Nickelodeon in the ’90s.

The Splat’s rotating lineup will also feature weekly themes and monthly programming stunts.

There may have been a Kenan & Kel reunion of sorts on The Tonight Show last night, but Nickelodeon is bringing the actual show, along with Rugrats, Hey Arnold!

If you’re a Nickelodeon fan, it’s the 1990s all over again.
