The two judges clashed when a singer called Niall Sexton performed Nicole’s song Run, and afterwards Simon Cowell made everyone gasp.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Nicole, Simon and The X Factor for comment.
Nicole explained: “This song is about moving away from the bad things in your liife”.
He said: “What’s the song called? Run”.
He said: “Why did this song make me think of Lewis Hamilton?”.
A shocked and unimpressed Nicole sarcastically replied: “Yeah, let’s dedicate those lyrics and that song to Lewis shall we?” It just came into my head listening to it. “Let’s dedicate those lyrics and that song to Lewis as well, shall we”.
They added: “He was clearly suggesting Lewis ran away from Nicole and split up their relationship”.
Lewis and Nicole dated on and off for seven years but split for good in 2015.
This year’s X Factor is reuniting some of the most popular judges including Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger, and Sharon Osbourne.
Rita also helped Lewis to celebrate his fourth British Grand Prix this weekend with a night out in London.
The former lovers called time on their romance a year ago and, although they’ve gone on to date other people, Nicole’s recent comment proves there’s still bad blood between them.
