TVLine reports that the past X Factor judge is going to play Penny – the character originally played by Cynthia Rhodes in the 1987 film. Penny, for those who don’t recall, is Johnny’s dance partner and part of the entertainment staff at the resort.
Dancer and actor Colt Prattes is to play Jonny, with Oscar-nominee Abigail Breslin playing opposite him as Baby Houseman in the show by USA network ABC.
