A statement on Wednesday from Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, said Bulama was arrested with two other suspected Boko Haram militants; Ardo Abba Muhammed and Muhammadu Kaigama, in Azare community, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. Audu is an IED specialist who was being groomed to penetrate security agencies in the country.
He had informed the DSS in advance that he planned to return to Nigeria after being declared wanted.

The other persons that were declared wanted had turned themselves in for questioning.
