The man said about 40 of the girls were already married while some were dead.

“They must, therefore, come forward and tell us where the group is keeping the Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us to rescue them”.

“If our members in detention are not freed, let the government and parents of the Chibok girls know that they will never find these girls again”.

Nigerian Information Minister Alhaji Lai Mohammed released a statement indicating that his government thinks that the recent rift in Boko Haram leadership may have provoked the release of the video.

Mrs. Wakil, a lawyer, also known as “Mama Boko Haram”, was one of the persons once listed by the extremist group as a member of its failed negotiation team with the federal government in 2013. We will show you clips of how some were killed by the military through air strikes. Some are wounded. Every day we are in pains and suffering, so are our babies.

The authorities said in May that one of the missing girls had been found and President Muhammadu Buhari vowed to rescue the others. All that we want is you should free our brothers.

Since it started staging major attacks seven years ago, Boko Haram has killed more than 20,000 people and forced 2.2 million from their homes in Nigeria and neighboring countries.

Aid workers say there is a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in newly liberated but still unsafe areas where half a million people are starving and babies dying daily. There has also been a resurgence of polio in areas that had been under Boko Haram’s control, as a result of the extremists’ opposition to vaccinations.

Sani Usman, on Sunday via email, saying the army chose to declare Salkida and the two others wanted because of the conviction that they had relevant information on the location of the Chibok girls.

A spokesman for the Bring Back Our Girls campaign said the video appeared to be legitimate, noting that families of those kidnapped had recognized eight of the girls who appeared in the clip.

But her mother, Esther Yakubu, reacted angrily at the inability of the Nigerian government to get the girls back.

The girl speaks in the Chibok dialect. “We are also being guided by the need to ensure the safety of the girls”.

He said, “Just In: Jama’atu Ahlil Sunnah Li-Da’awati Wal-Jihad #BH has released a video showing the abducted #Chibokgirls and restating their demands”.

“We recognize up to 10 from the video”, Abdullahi said, adding that he is waiting for confirmation from the Nigerian government and parents of the girls before releasing any more names.

Some of the girls in the video are shown holding babies.
