Nigeria’s President Buhari condemns Adamawa,

The blast, which is is the second attack in the country in the past 24 hours, killed 15 people and injured at least 123 in a mobile phone market in Kano just after 4pm yesterday (Nov 18), Kano state police commissioner Muhammad Musa Katsina said. Boko Haram pledged allegiance to ISIL in March and calls itself that group’s West Africa Province.

Today’s attacks began with one in a bustling marketplace in the town of Yola, packed with refugees from Nigeria’s Islamic uprising.

More than 30 people were killed and 80 others injured on Tuesday in a bomb explosion that hit a motor park in Yola, the Adamawa State capital in north-east Nigeria.

The explosions broke a three-week hiatus in bombings after a series of suicide attacks culminated in twin blasts in mosques in two cities in the north-east that killed 42 people and wounded more than 100 on October 23.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has given a December deadline for the army to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

“Nigeria and Cameroun remain resolute and determined to defeat Boko Haram; the terror attacks over the weekend in Paris, France draws, once again, into sharp focus the global dimension and reach of terror”.

Adamu found both bodies at the morgue.

With this latest arrest, five Boko Haram leaders, who were declared wanted a few weeks ago, are now in the custody of the military.

“Beyond corruption, Dasuki should be charged for high treason: Men, women and children died because their armed forces could not defend them”, added D. Olusegun.

Nigeria’s intelligence agency, the State Security Service, has kept Dasuki under house arrest for more than a week despite a Federal High Court order allowing him to travel overseas for medical care.

But the report also noted that a majority of countries experienced no deaths from terrorist attacks in 2014, and homicide was responsible for 13 times more deaths than terrorism.

Relatives of those who worked in the area converged on Specialist Hospital Yola to determine whether their loved ones had been admitted, according to state-run Nigerian media.

Mr Buhari’s office said former security adviser Sambo Dasuki had “awarded fictitious and phantom contracts” for jets, helicopters and ammunition for the army to fight Boko Haram which were never delivered.
