Nigerians mark second anniversary of abduction of hundreds of girls

Two years have passed, and families of the abducted girls have heard nothing about their daughters until the notorious group sent a video as “proof of life”.
The last time the girls were seen publicly was in a May 2014 video released by Boko Haram. He was defeated in an election a year ago by Muhammadu Buhari who ordered a new investigation into the abductions.
The girls were taking their final year examination when they were abducted.
“Few of us can begin to comprehend the suffering of parents who have not seen their daughters for two years”, Country Director of Amnesty International Nigeria, M.K. Ibrahim, said in a statement.
The video was provided by Boko Haram as a show of good faith, at the request of negotiators trying to secure the release of the girls. Global security professional Michael Clyne about Chibok girlsCCTV America’s Asieh Namdar interviewed Michael Clyne, information services manager at Venture Risk Management about Chibok girls. “Now, practically all the local government areas in Borno have been liberated”, he said.
A video recently was released that showed 15 of the girls, with one saying, “we are all well”, and applying an emphasis on the word “all”.
Since January, two parents of missing girls have received phone calls from their abducted daughters’ cellphone numbers, siad Yakubu Nkeki, chairman Abducted Chibok Girls Parents Movement for Rescue.
But the source said they were keen to avoid the problems encountered by the previous administration, which prematurely announced talks with Boko Haram elements and even a ceasefire.
She said seeing her friends gives her courage to urge the world not to lose hope and to raise their voices to campaign for #BringBackOurGirls and demand Nigeria’s government takes action. It was believed to have been recorded on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2015 during the negotiations between the government and alleged Boko Haram representatives.
Mrs Clinton, in her letter vowed to help in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria, adding that there will soon be an end to Boko Haram’s brutal acts of terror.
Boko Haram’s cruelty extends far beyond the Chibok schoolgirls.
