Three men arrested after a deadly shooting rampage at a Fort Myers, Fla., nightclub led officers on a auto chase near the shooting scene, police said.

Stef’An Strawder, 18, a high school basketball star, and Sean Archilles, 14, were killed in the incident.

As of Tuesday, three shooting victims remained hospitalized. Two of the victims are in critical condition and the third is in fair condition.

On Monday, a GoFundMe account was created to help with the funeral expenses. Police, who initially referred to the men as “persons of interest”, had not released a motive for the nightclub rampage Tuesday.

“He had a such a bright future ahead of him”, it continues.

The trio was fleeing from authorities, according to a WBBH TV report. He suffered minor injuries after being shot by an officer. The second location was reported along Ortiz Avenue, between Luckett Road and Ballard Road. Strawder, 18, was one of two teens killed in the attack. They were charged in connection with that pursuit, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday. “The vehicle drove out of the complex and then southbound in the northbound lanes of Solomon Boulevard”.

The officer attempted a traffic stop using emergency lights and siren, but the vehicle fled. As the deputy exited his vehicle to also pursue the suspects, the driver – identified as Derrick Leon Church, 19, of 1827 S. Meador Court, Fort Myers, accelerated toward the deputy.

The deputy then fired his handgun, shooting Church in the abdomen, officials said.

Church received treatment for his wound at a hospital before he was placed under arrest. He now faces charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and fleeing and eluding, and he was incarcerated on a $100,000 bond, county records show.

Authorities charged O’Neal and Battle with resisting without violence. Battle’s bond was set at $3,500 and O’Neal’s at $5,000.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 239-321-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

Gov. Rick Scott promised the state would do everything it could to help the victims and hold those responsible accountable.

Authorities are attempting to speak to witnesses but few individuals are cooperating with the investigation, Crime Stoppers added. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward.

An additional reward of $20,000 is also being offered by the FMPD and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The men are considered persons of interest in the shooting, and Fort Myers police are investigating to determine if additional charges will be brought, Sergeant Matt McDaniel, a sheriff’s spokesman, said in a telephone interview on Tuesday. “They just, for whatever reason, haven’t come forward yet”.
