Most people infected with Zika virus will not develop symptoms.

Anyone traveling to an area where Zika virus is found can become infected.
At least 74 people in Washington state are waiting now for Zika test results, out of some 256 specimens submitted since January, said Dr. Scott Lindquist, the state’s epidemiologist for communicable disease.
Deer ticks in Wisconsin and Minnesota recently have been found to carry new species of Lyme and ehrlichiosis bacteria, which can cause fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, fatigue and other symptoms.
The transgenic mosquitoes are capable of restricting the breeding patterns of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, and its ability to transmit ZIKV other vector-borne diseases. “But more importantly, Congress has failed to address a disease that has infected almost 700 Americans in 40 states, Washington, D.C., and 3 USA territories, including more than 65 pregnant women”, the letter read.
The Zika outbreak was first detected in Brazil previous year and is spreading through the Americas.
However, the chance that those mosquitoes will transmit the virus to people in Wisconsin this year seems slim, said Susan Paskewitz, a University of Wisconsin-Madison entomologist.
