Niko Kranjcar hails Glasgow Rangers teammates Barton and Hill
Niko Kranjcar has completed his move to Rangers, signing a two-year deal with the Ibrox side.

The 31-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and Queens Park Rangers midfielder was in Glasgow for a medical yesterday prior to finalising a move to the Ibrox club.
Former Croatia global Kranjcar had been playing for New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League and says ex-Rangers forward Nikica Jelavic helped sell him on the move. Capped three times by Scotland, the former Blackpool keeper is available on a free transfer as his Burnley contract is set to expire.
“You can go and interview someone for an hour and, after five…” But we had three hours in NY and we could have had six. We went through a, b and c and the fact is you can sit there and talk about football all night if it’s the right person.
“That was my first question – I hope the goal is to win the league”.
The Ibrox boss will hope that his new recruits will quickly settle into life in Light Blue and he was keen to keep his title-winning stars from last season on side by ensuring he didn’t break the Gers’ wage structure this summer.
Meanwhile, with goalkeeper Cammy Bell leaving Rangers by mutual consent to join Dundee United, Warburton is also on the lookout for an experienced goalkeeper and provide competition for Wes Foderingham. It doesn’t work that way.
QPR released the player simply because he was seen surplus to requirements or that he was seen as someone who could not provide a lot to a club trying to reduce its wage bill and trying to head back into the Premier League.
“If the club is successful in achieving its aims then the money naturally follows, if that makes sense”.

Hill might not be past his sell-by date and he has even stated that he will be trying to emulate assistant manager David Weir, who also played well into his 30s at the club.
