A driver slammed into a crowd of people who were attending an outdoor concert in OH and as a result, the vehicle injured nine people.

She seriously injured two of the victims, whose ages ranged from 50 to 70 years old, as she tried to leave a parking lot shared with the Parma Heights police and fire headquarters.

It all happened around 7 p.m. Sunday during an outdoor summer concert.

The accident happened on Sunday night at Parma Heights, just south of Cleveland, Ohio when the woman was reversing out of a vehicle park, police say.

One elderly woman suffered a brain injury and spinal fracture, Scharschmidt said, and a second victim is in serious condition with compound fractures.

Two people and the driver were treated at the scene and six others were taken to hospitals.

From the stage, singer Damion Fontaine, who performs as Frank Sinatra, watched as the driver ran into a “crowd of people who were on or near the dance area”.

The parking lot is also the parking lot for the Parma Heights Police Department.

“We had an officer inside who had heard all the people screaming, and he went out the front door”, said Scharschmidt.

Charges against the woman have not been filed.

“It was a tragic accident”, Scharschmidt said.

Scharschmidt said the woman was “shaken up” after hitting the people on the dance floor.
