Nintendo announces new Mario game for iOS, Android version to follow

Nintendo told Kotaku: “We do intend to release the game on Android devices at some point in the future”.

Traditionally, as many mobile games of today may have, in-app purchases are available for “Super Mario Run“. During the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook said “They’ll be doing it first on iOS”, before he introduced Miyamoto. It is reportedly announced that the game would be launched on the iOS platform first and later on Android devices.

Yesterday, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, with all-new cameras, dust- and water-resistance, and without a dedicated headphone port. The price is not yet announced.

Unlike Mario’s other games, where a player needs to control Mario’s movements and jumps, Mario will run automatically from left to right in iOS.
