According to Nintendo, there are three different game modes to play in “Super Mario Run”.

Super Mario Run will be the first time the character has made an official appearance on smartphones. “We have created Super Mario Run to be ideal for playing on your iPhone”, said Shigeru Miyamoto.

Japanese-designed video games are expanding to iOS devices this year as Niantic’s “Pokémon Go” gets Apple Watch support while Nintendo’s “Super Mario” debuts on iPhones and iPads.

Mario will run automatically, with the player only needing to tap the screen to jump as they collect coins and squash goombas.

Like Super Mario Run, it will be available by the end of the year. By 2015 Nintendo had said it intends to release five smartphone titles by March 2017, starting with thesocial network game Miitomo.

He said because it can be played with one hand, gamers will still be able to “hold onto the handle on the subway, while eating a hamburger or eating an apple”. Multiplayer is also possible to challenge friends to a competition to see who’s fastest at beating a certain level in the game.
