Nintendo Classic NES Mini will not connect to Internet

Of course, this isn’t the same NES that you may have played as a child. Nintendo sold almost 62 million NES units and 500 million software units for the console.

Nintendo has unveiled several information on the new NES Classic Mini console.

Linking the NES controller to a Wii remote allows you to play an emulated version of the bundled NES games on Nintendo’s modern consoles as well. It is coming back to the world in the form of the new mini NES Classic Edition.

While the gadget looks virtually identical to the 1983 original, it does have modern ports attached.

The Classic Mini is created to look just like the original 8-bit NES and will come pre-loaded with 30 retro games, including Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong and PAC-MAN.

Nintendo is releasing a device that is created to bring nostalgic tears to fans of its classic game and its iconic gaming console. It’s likely Nintendo will wait to see sales of the mini NES before committing.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place”, said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. Check out a full list here.

Nintendo could also just be testing the waters for a set top box TV with their mini NES product, The Next Web reported. The game company will sell extra controllers, which will be priced at $10, for classic games that support two player gameplay. The game company has also confirmed that each video game will have multiple suspend points, which will be convenient for players to continue the game where they left off, if they needed to step away from it.
