Nintendo Cracking Down On ‘Pirated’ Pokemon GO Apps

But before you do that you should be aware that downloading any apps outside of the Google Play Store can increase the chances of your device being infected with malware or other viruses.
In the game, players walk around real-life neighbourhoods to find virtual cartoon or Pokemon characters on their smartphone screens.
The WSJ also reports that Nintendo, which owns a large slice of The Pokemon Company, has soared in value thanks to the success of Pokemon Go.
The mobile app has taken us by storm and the momentum isn’t over just yet – so far Pokemon Go is only available in a handful of countries including the U.S., Australia and New Zealand! Candy Crush which was reported to have a whopping 93 million users as its highest ever worldwide is been put back in the race of gaming by Pokemon Go which broke even Candy Crush’s record.
The game began rolling out around the world on July 6 but was stalled before hitting the United Kingdom, as creator Niantic ironed out server problems caused by the huge demand.
Make sure you’re logged in to the right app store account and your region is set to the UK. In response, the makers of Pokemon Go have said people should “play with friends when going to new or unfamiliar places” and “remember to be safe and alert at all times”.
The app works by using your phone’s camera and Global Positioning System technology to detect your physical location then Pokemon will virtually appear around you for you to catch.

Forecasts point to continued growth for Pokemon Go, especially because it will soon launch in new markets around the world, with analysts predicting that it could overtake Snapchat and Google Maps in the daily active users on Android chart.
