Japanese Multinational Video Game Company Nintendo is developing a new console called “Nintendo NX”, and it is expected to be far better than the previous consoles – it reportedly has new hardware and software.

There have also been reports that other publishers such as Activision, Sega, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Warner Bros. will be contributing titles to the NX lineup, but it has not been confirmed what the titles would be or what their participation will be.

It seems the first half-year after the launch of the much-teased Nintendo NX will be met with mushrooms, lost princesses and more than just a few badges.

In a statement, as cited by Market for Computer and Video Games, an executive who is knowledgeable on Nintendo’s forthcoming game console said that it was a nice bit of kit, a bit of a novelty, but a good one; however, the exec revealed that the device would not appeal to PlayStation 4 fans, which suggests that the Nintendo NX is inferior to the latter.

The new Zelda, along with new Mario and Pokémon games, will all release within the first six months of the NX’s introduction, according to United Kingdom trade news outlet MCV. The report states that the console will have two removable controllers attached to both sides of the screen. He did affirm that the Nintendo NX is more oriented to smartphone gamers and not for current-gen gamers, which means marketing will have to double their efforts. Iwata didn’t reveal further details about their project, claiming it was too early to elaborate on anything, but he did reveal the project’s codename, “NX”.

We already know that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch with the console at launch, but Mario and Pokemon games have not yet been officially announced.
