Nintendo NX is as powerful as Xbox One claim new rumours

DualPixels reports that it is claimed the console will feature an HDMI dongle for streaming to TVs, boast analogue sticks with full haptic feedback and have the ability to answer phone calls and texts via Bluetooth.

Nintendo are yet to formally announce Nintendo NX, though it’s existence was confirmed by the late Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata early past year.

Internal power is said to be close to that of an Xbox One, with strong emulation that makes it possible to run any Android title on the device, especially if it uses Unreal Engine 4. “You just take your code, compile it and it works”.

It will have social features that expand beyond existing AR, multiplayer and StreetPass applications. The strength of the device is the ease of use and functionality.

Visually and functionally, the Nintendo NX is described by devs as if Samsung and the Nintendo 2DS had a baby.

It looks friendly but not necessarily what most people expect a Nintendo device will look like.

Nintendo NX will run on NintendOS, which is very similar to Android, but aims to create an eco-system, much like the Windows 10. It had many modern features of mobile operating systems. However, like what happened with Unravel’s developer Coldwood Interactive, Nintendo won’t show or even reveal what the devs should be building for. We know very, very little about the machine, but given the Wii U’s market stagnation, it’ll have to be spectacular to get your average gaming consumer interested in the big N again.

Since that seems to confirm the leak’s authenticity, it seems fair to assume the rest of the information was also correct… including the idea that the NX will launch this year and that Zelda will be a launch title. Tell us in the comment section below, what are you expecting from Nintendo NX?
